Hi, I'm Mallory.

Most people call me Mal.

I'm a happy, determined little girl, and my smile can light up a room. I was born with a brain injury called Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). It led to cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and developmental delays.

I use a wheelchair to get around, a G-tube for nutrition and medications, and an eye-gaze AAC device to talk. I work hard in physical, occupational, speech, and intensive therapies to build strength, movement, communication, and independence.

I'm a daughter, a big sister, and a student, and my family loves me. I have opinions and favorite things, and I know what makes me laugh. I have plenty to say, and I say it with my eyes.

My family started Mal's Journey to share the good days and the hard ones of raising a child with disabilities. We want to spread awareness and acceptance, push for accessibility and inclusion, and celebrate my progress.

Around here, small wins count as BIG wins.

My story is still being written. I hope you'll follow along.
